About Me/Betul AYDINER

BETUL AYDINER

BetulA

For twenty years, Betul Aydiner was a leader in the creative manufacture of ceramics through her workshop in Istanbul. Many of the works on these pages came from the studios of Selen Seramik. Other productions, such as the Ottoman Navy plates that have gained widespread popularity, were first made at her workshop. Although no longer mass-producing ceramics, Betul is available for private commissions. Please enquire by E-Mail at this website.

Since 1996, Betul has devoted most of her time to painting. Her bold watercolors of Aegean and Mediterranean landscapes have been exhibited in Ankara, Antalya, Fethiye and Istanbul. Her ambitious paintings of street scenes of Istanbul and the everyday mysticism of Peru have twice been exhibited in Istanbul. The hidden turnings of the old city of Ayvalik were the subject of her Last Exhibition.

The Forty Roses of Yesilkoy, her previous solo  exhibition, was a rare chance to see the third dimension in a familiar medium.  These remarkable paintings, drawn from the streets of her own town, show that the nature of roses spring from a reality that can always be found within.

Her 2010 show Waters of Gaia - DUNYANIN SUYU  was at Urun Sanat Galerisi at Goztepe.

From the  waterfalls of Antalya  to those of  Mexico,
from  the seashores of the  Mediterrenean to  the  Atalantic  coast,
from the  rivers of Anatolia  to the Amazon, to wetlands of  America
all the power of the  world's  waters was on show. .

Dunyanin Suyu was the product of her meditation on the spirit of Gaia,
the secrets of the shaman, and her mastery of her craft.
You can share her vision online.

All the paintings on this website are the result of her concentration on vivid but commonplace subjects. Some remaining paintings can be bought by contacting Betul.
